  • Silent Charity Auction Raises Approximately $4,000

    Attendees flocked to the Silent Charity Auction held by the Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) during Auto Glass Week™.

    Approximately $4,000 was raised to support the AGSC.

    “We want to thank all the contributors. Without their support, the Silent Charity Auction wouldn’t happen,” said Jean Pero, auction chair. “It is a fun event and their support is very important.”

    Some of the hot items included:

    • A basketball signed by David Robinson, an NBA All Star;
    • Carl Tompkins’ fishing trip;
    • Delta Kits windshield repair bridge;
    • Extractor Mini, an automotive glass removal tool;
    • Four tickets to Thanksgiving Day Dallas Cowboys/Washington Redskins Game;
    • Meritool 5026-610-20v new lithium tool;
    • PipeKnife tool;
    • iPad;
    • Men’s sports watch; and
    • Three canvas prints by Eric Asbery Photography.
  • AGSC Now Accepting Donations for the Auto Glass Week™ Silent Charity Auction

    newsAuction20140728The Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) Silent Charity Auction will once again be held at this year’s Auto Glass Week™. The auction will take place on Wednesday, October 8, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the Exhibition/Extravaganza show floor.

    Donations are currently being accepted for the Silent Charity Auction. Past items up for auction have included jewelry, digital cameras, electronics, travel, industry tools and more.

    A final list of auction items will be available in the official Auto Glass Week show program. On the night of the auction, final bids will be taken at 6:45 p.m. and winners will be announced at 7 p.m.

    Attendees can pre-register for Auto Glass Week to attend the Silent Charity Auction, which is now in its eighth year. Interested attendees can register online for a pre-registration discounted price of $219, saving $60 versus registering on-site. This registration includes access to all seminars, workshops, social events and admittance to the Auto Glass Week Exhibition/Extravaganza and the concurrent event, the International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ (WFCT).

    Auto Glass Week draws more than 1,000 attendees and features top industry players on the show floor each year. The event will be held in Baltimore, Md., at the Baltimore Convention Center and the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel, October 7-9.
